Case-ing the Catty... "Gift From the Garden".

Here is a card I CASED (copy and share everything) from the Annual Catalogue, using the "Gift From the Garden" stamp set. It is stamped onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using Old Olive, Mint Macaron and Rose Red inks, with the words stamped in Tuxedo Momento black ink ( my absolute favourite black ink). I used the Washi Punch to punch out the strips and adhered them with snail adhesive.  A simple bow using linen thread is the finishing touch.

Memories of My Fave Papers...soon to be gone! Stampin' Up!

                                                    Stampin' Up! Australia
Would you believe I made a video of this darling card, then had to delete it because the soundtrack was totally out of sync! Gaaaa! Never mind, I am still giving you the photo inspiration and I will now proceed to tell you what went into the construction process LOL!

Start with your gorgeous Watercolour Designer Series Paper, cut a Daffodil Delight Card base, then cut a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe 1/4" smaller, then cut a DSP piece 1/4" smaller again. Do not adhere, because we are adding a layer of Daffodil Delight ribbon (I attached it to the back of the DSP piece using good ol' Scotch tape).
Punch out a piece of DD with the petite petals punch, then stamp 2 flowers on whisper white, one in DD and one in CC (ie Crisp Cantaloupe) then punch them out as well. For the Sentiment, I used Loving Thoughts, then cut it out using the Apothecary Accents die, and sponged some more CC around the edge for definition.
I popped on some candy dots from the Brights Pack, then added an inside layer which looks just like the envelope, in that I stamped a Petite Petal in Daffodil Delight, then in Crisp Cantaloupe, then, without re-inking I stamped again (stamped off) to form the 3rd flower.
Hope you like the finished card. Leave a comment, and share the love :)
Now I'm going back to my movie editor and finding out how to fix the sync problem.   !!!!

Gorgeous Grungy Butterflies. You bet!

                                                             Stampin' Up! Australia.
Gorgeous Grunge meets butterfly and goes wild with this card design. I decided to bust out the Itty Bitty punch and add some melon mambo blooms a-sparkle with diamonds. Add a sequin or 3 and  you have one crazy cool card. Let me know what you think.

Watercolour Classes - Stampin' Up!

I created this - Stampin' Up!Halloween Scene using sponging and masking. You can try it yourself.
It's easier than it looks!

Card Recipe:
Card stock: Whisper White for the card base - A4 cut in half and scored down the middle.
 Stampin' Up! watercolour paper 10.5cm x 15cm
Aquabrush, Blender Pen
Inks: Black Stazon, Old Olive, Real Red, Midnight Muse,
Marvellous Markers: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Basic Black, Blush Blossom, Sahara Sand
White uniball signo gel pen
Stampsets: Greeting Card Kids, Lovely As A Tree (the largest pine tree image)
Adhesive: Sticky Strip (so the card front sits flat)
Punch: 1 3/4" Circle Punch
Post-it notes
Stampin' Sponges (quartered)

*Stamp the images first in black Stazon ink.
*Mask out a 1 3/4" circle with the post-it notes (punch out 2 pieces of post-it paper so the punch doesn't jam).
*Cut a piece of printer paper or post-it note to make the shape of the hill and mask it.
*Lightly sponge Real Red ink  above the hill shape, then sponge Midnight Muse  ink into the sky, and blend the 2 colours near the horizon.
*Remove the mask from the hill and sponge Old Olive over the entire hill.
*Colour the image of the girl and the pumpkin using an aqua brush and markers.
*Blend Black ink into the bottom of the picture.
*Allow the paper to dry (otherwise it will get muddy), then come in with the markers and highlight the shadows. (I had the light source coming in from the left). add some Daffodil Delight to the moon, and anchor the pumpkin with Sahara Sand shadowing.
*Add white gel pen to highlight the parts that are coming toward you.
*Draw 3 bats (start with a bird and add wing details).
