Sneak Peek! Eastern Palace Suite

Here is the first of the Sneak Peeks from the new catalogue, and it's all about medallions and very detailed thinlits dies.
It's called the Eastern Palace Suite, and comes with a whole swag of accessories, including these must-have tassels and gold vinyl stickers. Wow!
For a limited time, ( April 4-30) you will be able to choose from starter and premium bundles, suitable for both the beginner and avid crafter.
I am avidly awaiting my first glimpse of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and have only a few more days to go before I can see it on the demonstrator website.
This time of year is when I go through all my current Stampin' Up! supplies and move the retiring items into a holding bay ready to sell off my pre-loved stamps and accessories to those lucky early birds who are keen to score a grab bag of discounted stamping goodness.

It is also an EXCELLENT time to have a really good clear out and de-clutter of my craft room, which I must say is looking packed to the gills with stuff LOL.

Have a marvellously creative day!

Retiring Favourites: Day 6 with Techniques. Stampin' Up! Australia

How's this for a cute baby combo? I was so thrilled to "accidentally" discover this new technique while I was making the first card...I was able to re-use the framelit mask to make a second card. I am christening it "the layered Die cut Technique!" Scroll down to the video below for the tutorial.

Retiring Favourites & Techniques: Day 4. Stampin' Up! Australia

Try these new inking techniques : the results are always surprising, and you get a slightly different result every time.
This technique uses rock salt, water, and Shimmery White Cardstock.

Here is a different technique using painters tape and going direct to stamp pad.

Great ideas for using Project Life.

I love the way Andrea uses Project Life by Stampin' Up! She has some great tips on how to adhere the embellishments to the page protector, not the photo itself (genius!), and how to sort and categorise your photos so they are balanced and interesting.

Bird on a Wire, Stampin' Up! Style. 2 Versions.

I love finding new ways to use old favourites. I originally made many traditional cards using the bird builder punch, then decided I wanted something modern with a silhouette feel. I bent the Bordering Blooms Photopolymer stamp (it's easy to bend these into different shapes when placing them on your acrylic block)   and used a sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set. I cut 2.5cm off the bottom of the card to minimise the negative space, then rounded the bottom corners. Daffodil Delight and Basic black work well together, don't you think?

This card was even simpler, I used melon mambo card and rounded the bottom corners, and used the stamp from Age Awareness . I drew a curved line using the brush tip of a Basic Black marker to sit the little bird on.

Sweet Little Christmas Tree Card.

I love using the Note cards and envelopes for a smaller, more simple card. The inks I have used on this modern card are Island Indigo and Lost Lagoon, with a Calypso Coral Greeting stamped onto the Whisper white Note card base.

New Catalogue Launch.

The Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue is launching early this year. We usually have to wait till July in Australia, but this year you can order from the new catty at my online store from June 2nd.
I will post a reminder when the catty goes live.

These cards were made using the new "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set and co-ordinating builder punch.
