Vellum Glimmer Butterfly Card. New Catalogue. Stampin' Up! Australia
Sometimes a small card can pack a big punch. Bling, pearls, vellum and 4 different ink colours come together beautifully in this tiny gem, which was inspired by a sample on page 10 of the new Occasions Catalogue.
This 3 x 3 card has it's own little vellum envelope, created with one of the free products in the Sale-A Bration catalogue, Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack #141019.
The Number of Years Bundle #140811, and the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper #140550 are from the new Occasions Catalogue.
Ink colours used were Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party and Wild Wasabi.
The measurements for the vellum envelope (using the Envelope Punch Board) are, cut your vellum to 5/1/4" x 5 1/4" ( 13.3cm x 13.3cm), use one of the leftover pieces for your card, and your first score line is at 2 5/8" ( 6.7cm ).

Bird on a Wire, Stampin' Up! Style. 2 Versions.
I love finding new ways to use old favourites. I originally made many traditional cards using the bird builder punch, then decided I wanted something modern with a silhouette feel. I bent the Bordering Blooms Photopolymer stamp (it's easy to bend these into different shapes when placing them on your acrylic block) and used a sentiment from the Tin of Cards stamp set. I cut 2.5cm off the bottom of the card to minimise the negative space, then rounded the bottom corners. Daffodil Delight and Basic black work well together, don't you think?
This card was even simpler, I used melon mambo card and rounded the bottom corners, and used the stamp from Age Awareness . I drew a curved line using the brush tip of a Basic Black marker to sit the little bird on.

Water Colour Master Class: In the Meadow. Video Tutorial.Stampin' Up!
Step by step instructions on how to achieve the "no outlines" technique.

WaterColour Masterclass: In the Meadow: colouring without outlines.
This card was created using a new stamp set "In the Meadow," available on January 5th in the new Occasions Catalogue #140751 wood or #1405754 clear mount.
The technique I have used requires a very light touch with the aqua painter in order not to smudge the outline of the deer, which has been stamped in baked Brown Sugar on Stampin' Up! watercolour paper. I have used a quarter sheet for the focal image. The background was masked (I cut out a second image of the two deer on a post it note and stuck it over the stamped image while I sponged the background using soft sky, lost lagoon, and mossy meadow for the grass ).
The card was layered up on corrugated paper then mounted on a lost lagoon A5 card base.
The sentiment, from the stamp set, was stamped onto a scrap piece of watercolour paper that had been washed with mossy meadow.
Linen thread finishes the card.
